President, Producer/Director

Mahboubeh Honarian is an award-winning producer and director with an MSc in Engineering Multimedia and a BA in Media and Cultural Studies from the UK. For over 20 years, she has produced and directed documentary films and TV series focused on women and children. In 2007, she founded ‘VeraMedia’ corporation in Toronto, Canada.

Mahboubeh has facilitated photography and video journalism workshops for youth, including Syrian refugees, resulting in impactful photo exhibitions. She is a member of the ‘International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ (Emmy), ‘Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television’ and ‘The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA)’.

Mahboubeh has served on the juries of several international film festivals, including the International Emmy Awards and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. She has been a guest filmmaker at prestigious events such as the ‘World Congress of Science & Factual Producers’ (WCSFP), the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, Hot Docs and the GZDOC Film Festival, China.
